Open Water Diving Course
Open Water Diving For Beginner to Advanced Divers
Aquatech offers daily open water diving to the world's second largest barrier reef, just a five minute boat ride from the resort. You will see loggerhead and green turtles, sting rays and schools of tropical fish.
Reef dives meet at 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM each day. One and two-tank dives available.
Night dives on the reef can easily be arranged and leave at dusk. See the reef in a different light when the nocturnal sea life is active. Minimum 4 people.
For divers interested in seeing the famous reefs of Cozumel, Aquatech can arrange day trips to the island. Send us an e-mail for more information.

Discover Diving Course
Description:
This introductory dive course allows you to experience the thrill of open water diving after just 4 hours of professional instruction. First hour session teaches basic theory and introduces student to diving equipment. Second hour pool-session familiarizes student with equipment and techniques in confined water environment. Final two hours include a boat ride and shallow reef dive in the beautiful Caribbean. This type of training is also called a "resort course:.

Prerequisites: Minimum age 10, ability to swim
Discover Diving is a temporary certification which is valid for two weeks.

Open Water Diver Referral Course
Description: Do your open water diver classroom and pool work at home. Complete all your dives in the warm, beautiful Caribbean.
Course Duration: 2 days, 4 dives
Prerequisites: Minimum age 10, ability to swim, proof that student has successfully completed all necessary classroom and pool work with a certified instructor

Open Water Diver Refresher Course
Description: If it has been a while since your last dive, or you want to brush up on your skills, this course is for you. Our 2-hour course includes review of open water skills and techniques in confined water and a one-tank ocean dive.
Course Duration: 1/2 day, 1 pool sessions, 1 dive

Advanced Open Water Diver Course
Description: This course increases a divers experience with a variety of dive skills and awareness. It is a prerequisite for divemaster training. The five open water dives include a night dive, deep dive, navigation dive, multilevel dive, and fish identification.

Medic/First Aid Course
Description: Medic/First Aid is a basic training course in emergency care. CPR and other important emergency care skills are combined into one eight hour course which allows the graduate to function with one consistent set of priorities in a medical emergency. Students learn the same priorities of care and approach to the patient used by professionals. This approach results in a continuity of care as the patient is passed to the paramedic, nurse and doctor.
This is a prerequisite for the rescue diver course.
Course Duration: 8 hours
Prerequisites: Medic First Aid is designed for use by the layperson - the nondesignated, non-dutied, voluntary "Good Samaritan". This course is for students seeking CPR/first aid traing to meet a diving course requirement, for personal enhancement, or as part of a community service activity. Divemaster Course
Description: Become a professional diver. Learn how to lead other open water divers on your own. Certification denotes an individual who:
1. Has a high level of personal diving skill
2. Has instructor-level knowledge of diving theory
3.Has a significant amount of training in how to assist an instructor during training activities
4. Is able to assume a role of reponsibility for the welfare of other divers in his charge
Divemasters are authorized to act as certified assistants to a teaching status instructor; independently conduct environmental Orientation Dives and generally supervise nontraining-related activities.
Course Duration: 1-3 weeks, depending on experience
Prerequisites:
Proof of:
• Advanced open water diver certification • Medic/first aid certification • Rescue diver certification • 60 logged dives • Minimum 18 years of age • Submit a medical statement signed by a physician stating that candidate is fit to dive.
